In 1968 Glen Campbell had a private concert at Robinson Auditorium for the movers and shakers in Little Rock. He only played a couple of songs for the assembled attendees and was in filming for the forthcoming movie True Grit starring John Wayne that came out in 1969.
The after concert party was at Edgemont House. Betty Thrash (on his right) and Millie Karam (to his left) were hosting him there along with most of the big business people at the time. Millie and Betty were best friends. This photo was taken in the courtyard. Notice the wall behind them. It was before his rise to fame in the hit movie True Grit and his television show.
At the time Glen was a rising star on the concert circuit around the country and most importantly he was a native son of Arkansas!
